The Global Partnerships Unit of NITD seeks to establish external collaborations in current disease areas of interest, namely in dengue, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria, to augment various aspects of NITD's research programme. NITD is also keen to explore collaboration opportunities in other neglected diseases that have synergies with existing programmes.
In identifying research centres of excellence with complementary expertise to advance research, various models of collaboration such as joint collaboration or funded projects are possible depending on the project nature.
In order to broaden the scope of search for potential leads, NITD is also interested in the screening of compound libraries and licensing of compounds that show activity in the respective disease areas.
NITD works with external service providers where there are synergies, to ensure timely and efficient support to our researchers. These service requirements vary from time to time and may include chemical/ physical characterisation, custom synthesis and pharmacokinetic studies.
